Barcelona between culture and sport
Climb up with us the magical mountain!
Montjuic is a mountain inside the city. A true bowl of air and a splendid sight of Barcelona from all sides!
At the bottom, Highlights the Magic Fountain by Carles Buigas, the Catalan National Art Museum (MNAC) with its ample collections and varied temporary exhibitions, the Mies van der Rhoe Pavillion and Caixa Forum or the Spanish Village are the ones to see.
Montjuic is perfect for a leafy walk with great wiews, althought it takes a bit of legwork to climb! With buildings from 1992 Games, The Olympic Stadium and the nearby constructions and the Joan Miró Foundation must see.
While we are in the area, we can walk around plentiful gardens, suggestions include Laribal gardens close to “Grec” Ancient Theatre or Miramar’s gardens with its exceptional views over the port and the city below. This spot has the origin of the cable car called Aeri del Port from Montjuïc to Barceloneta…
What about ending our tour looking for authentic Catalan taste eating close to the beaches?
