Safety Advice for people touring Barcelona.
Safety Advice for people touring Barcelona.
Barcelona is a safe city. However, while you are here we suggest you take the common sense precautions as you would when visiting any major city.
Be vigilant in crowds, restaurants and on public transportation; watch out for people creating distractions and diversions.
Keep your personal belongings with you. When you arrive at or leave at/from your accomodation, do not lose sight of your luggage.
Use handbags with safe fastenings and make sure always to carry them properly closed and do not leave your bag or belongings on the ground while you are doing other things.
Avoid taking your wallet, purse or mobile in places of easy access (handbags, open money belts, or back trouser pockets).
Do not display large amounts of cash; carry only as much as you need.
When walking around the city, know how to get to your destination in advance so you appear con dent in where you are going.
